From England to Montego Bay, Jamaica, Kathleen began playing tennis at the age of 7 where she was coached by Paul Rose of the Montego Bay Racquet Club and Richard Russell of Half Moon Bay.
Kathleen played and competed in Junior Tournaments in Jamaica which granted her a tennis scholarship to Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO in 1988. In her first year, Kathleen placed No. 1 in Doubles, and No. 2 in Singles. In her remaining years, she placed No. 1 in Singles and Doubles. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Science & Psychology, Kathleen then moved to New York City in 1992 where she managed and taught at the Roosevelt Island Racquet Club.
With many prestigious tournaments under her belt, Kathleen played at the USTA 5.0 Sectionals and Nationals as well as the Sears Cup. Over the past 13 years, Kathleen has taught privately throughout South and East Hampton and NYC. In the Fall and Winter she teaches at Sutton East Tennis Club in the city then migrates to the Hamptons for Spring and Summer at Hampton Racquet.
